The theme is very free and fresh. The background wallpaper shows an sketch scene where a woman is one the beach an is surrounded by water and sea gulls. The highlights are in light red colour. The fonts and the clock blend in perfectly with the theme.

They start off by giving us an introduction of the Nokia N86 8MP in which they state that it’s been a while since they saw a cameraphone as revolutionary as the Nokia N86 8MP.

Nokia has been behind in the mega-pixel race for quite sometime and they still are. But the wide-angle, variable aperture, mechanical shutter camera changed the way we think of shooting stills with cameraphones much like the Omnia HD reshaped the digital video recording on a mobile phone.

The goodies on board the Nokia N86 8MP make quite a count, including but not limited to a 2.6-inch AMOLED screen, dual-slide form factor, an active kickstand, 8GB of internal memory, a microSDHC card slot, FM transmitter, Wi-Fi and GPS connectivity and a digital compass, a 3.5mm audio jack and TV out. There’s also quad-band GSM and tri-band HSDPA support for a truly worldwide voice and data roaming.

The theme is based on the blue colour. It’s very lively and looks like a cartoon. The background wallpaper shows parallel blue and grey lines and a small skater like figure/toon. The icons are very cool, toon like and glossy. The theme is meant for QVGA resolution phones ie phones with screen resolution 240*320 or 320*240. The clock is also similar and in blue.

The theme is very lively and cartoon like. The background wallpaper shows spotlights of different colours on a light blue-grey background. The icons are quite nice and are of an animated style. The highlights are in a gradient green colour and the clock is in the same colour as the background. Eldar Murtazin

He starts off by saying Nokia planned to release the Nokia N86 8MP as the N85 8MP similar to the Nokia N95 8GB and N95. He says it may be because the users were disappointed with the issues of the N85 and Nokia didn’t want them to think that this handset was the same. Nevertheless, he says the N86 8MP has excellent build quality.

He says that the N86 8MP is a refurbished N85 both in terms of build quality and camera. It’s Nokia’s Imaging Flagship. Nokia says it doesn’t believe in the Megapixel race saying it’s better to focus on the Lens Quality, Algorithm etc.

Now Charlie over at NokiaConversations has managed to get his hands on a Nokia N86 8MP. So Charlie in order to mark the ocassion, went to Helsinki to take some pictures and videos with his brand new Nokia N86 8MP.

Charlie loved the Nokia N85 and he says the Nokia N86 8MP which is a tweaked N85 with a superb 8MP camera has now become his favourite device.

He has posted a video and several photos taken by the Nokia N86 8MP. He says he will leave it to the readers to judge the quality but he says don’t be too harsh as he is not a pro-photographer either.

The release of the Nokia N86 8MP will come a short while after the Nokia N97 release. Both will be in the market together but since they are directed at different audiences, sales of one device does not affect the other.

The Nokia N86 8MP has a lot of hype surrounding it due to the fact that it is the only 8 Megapixel Cameraphone from Nokia. The Nokia N86 8MP also received the TIPA Best Mobile Imaging Device of 2009 award.

The Nokia N86 8MP is expected to sell at an estimated price of 375 Euros before taxes and subsidies.
